In January 1981, Fausto Vitello and Eric Swenson launched Thrasher, a $1 journal devoted to skilled skateboarding, gripping images, influential music, skate tradition and skate park critiques. The journal was initially began as a advertising and marketing platform for Swenson and Vitello to advertise their skate model, Impartial Vehicles, but it surely garnered exterior consideration on account of its punk-rock perspective.
